Counterstrike has been at the top of the game charts for the longest time. This game allows players to join the counter-terrorists faction or the terrorist faction and shoot each other until the end of each round. To win a round, you can either eliminate all players from the opposing team, if you are a counter-terrorist, save the hostages and if you are the terrorist, plant a bomb at the bomb site.

There are a whole lot more online multiplyaer games out there that have taken the hearts of players. To mention one would be Quake, a kind of counter part of Counterstrike. The only difference between the two is that Quake is set in a more futuristic time and with more futuristic weapons.
